Ancreative Avenue
A free 1:1 mentorship program for emerging Australian designers
What is Ancreative Avenue?
Ancreative Avenue is a free mentorship program for emerging Australian designers with a focus on Graphic Art, Communication and Strategy.
The program offers 1:1 creative mentorship with a seasoned industry professional and allows designers the opportunity to untap 15 years of knowledge and experience in a supporting environment.
Developed and volunteer-run by Amor Villareid who recognised the lack of mentorship in her early career - the program fills the gap that continues to exist for emerging designers.
The goals of the program are to build the next generation of designers who can think holistically and empathetically with the confidence to advocate for their work and themselves.
TESTIMONIALS
What do mentees say about the program?
"From the moment I started working with Amor, she has been nothing but supportive, knowledgeable and a joy to work with.
She brings passion along with her extensive experience and she has helped me maintain the level of accountability I required to make massive amounts of progress in the industry.
Her suggestions and methods of improvement have helped take my skills to the next level."
M. Watson, NSW
"Amor has been incredibly generous with her time, and she just genuinely wants to see people succeed in what can be a difficult and competitive environment.
I’m just at the start of my studies, and there’s only so much you can learn from a course or a textbook. Amor is able to explain concepts and techniques in ways that are easy to understand and put into practice.
Even when we’ve just been having a general conversation, she drops these little gems of wisdom that I’ve found so useful, and I’m sure she doesn’t even know she’s doing it!"
S. Revell, QLD
How do I join the program?
As a volunteer-run program, Ancreative Avenue has limited resources and can only accept a number of applicants at a time.
Further program details and application criteria can be read in the Mentee Information Pack.
